Vintage 1967 Order of the Alaska Walrus Certificate – Walter J. Hickel
Original vintage Order of the Alaska Walrus certificate dated 1967, issued in Juneau, Alaska.
The certificate bears the signature “Wally Hickel” above the printed title “Governor of Alaska and the Walrus’ Domain.” Walter J. Hickel served as Governor of Alaska during this period.
Also bears a handwritten witness signature in blue ink.
The Order of the Alaska Walrus was an Alaska visitor tradition that proclaimed recipients lifetime members after visiting the state. These certificates are documented as period Alaska tourism memorabilia from the 1960s. Condition: Very nice vintage condition for its age.
