For sale is a passenger train timetable from the former Boston & Maine Railroad (B&M). It is dated October 29, 1967. The B&M was the major railroad of New England from its founding in 1836 until 1983, when it was acquired by Guilford Transportation (now Pan American Railways). It served Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, and Vermont, with its route system focusing on Boston. The B&M operated a number of famous "named" trains, to include the Gull, the Penobscot, the Red Wing, the Montrealer, and the Washingtonian. The timetable lists schedules for all trains operated by the B&M, express trains as well as local runs. Listings are by run number, with arrival/departure times for stations served. This publication measures appx 7 1/2 x 4 inches unopened and opens to appx 16 x 15 inches. It is printed on a medium-weight paper stock. It appears to have had little use and is in excellent condition -- there are no rips or tears, no spills or smears, and the binding is secure with all pages firmly in place. The only flaw I can identify is that the original owner and rider made a note on one timetable page as to which stop he should disembark.
A great collectible for the B&M or New England railfan.
