1969 Investiture of Charles Prince Of Wales 0.999 Fine Silver Medals For Sale

Before he was King Charles III, he was the Prince of Wales. These two rare matched medals (25,000 minted) commemorate his Investiture at Caernarvon Castle (reverse) on July 1, 1969. In a custom case, the medals are 34mm and 50mm. They were uniquely struck in 999.9 silver and weigh over 2oz total with a proof finish and deep cameo portraits of young Elizabeth II and Charles.  Edges are each engraved with serial # 0206 with subtle toning.
