Up for sale is a classic piece of survival knife history: a Vietnam War-era Garcia Hollow-Handle Survival Knife (manufactured in Brazil). This knife has been upgraded into a premium, stealthy \"resto-mod\" tactical user.The Knife: The 3/16\" stainless steel sawback blade, aluminum double guard, and threaded butt cap have been finished in a clean, professional matte black DuraCoat color. The finish looks excellent, with a few spots showing light wear in the photos. Duracoat finish provides excellent modern corrosion resistance. The guard appears to have some light engraving which was on the knife when I acquired it some years ago. It doesn’t appear very noticeable while handling it but it’s there. Please see photos. The Handle: The iconic stacked leather handle is tight, rock-solid, and in excellent shape. No dryness or rot. The threads on the hollow handle are clean, and the butt cap seals tightly.The Sheath: A massive upgrade over the flimsy factory original. This comes with a custom, heavy-duty leather Lift-Dot sheath handmade by Peloza Leather.
