1973-1974 NASA, JSC, Houston, TX, Skylab IV, Skylab 4, SL-4, original 70mm film roll, 4.0” wide x 3.0” height containing film magazine #CX-17, and #CX-52, with film type SO-368. Film contains 300+ rare photographic frames with handwritten numbers on sprocket hole edge. CX is reference to NASA film magazine designation used by astronauts in orbit. SO-368, is code for medium-speed Kodak Ektachrome color film. The crew used a hand-held 70mm Hasselblad camera with SO-368 film to capture amazing Earth resources imagery. Photographic index reference guide copy (16 pages included with folder) project documents, with identification list of earth-looking photography by magazine and frame #’s. Magazine #CX-17, SL4-137, total 174 image frames. Magazine #CX-52, SL4-138, total 172 image frames.

MISSION HISTORY:

Skylab 4 was the third and final crew to the Skylab space station completed a record breaking 84 days in space. The mission began on November 16, 1973, lasted 84 days, one hour and 16 minutes, and ended with successful landing back to Earth on February 8, 1974. Astronauts Gerald (Jerry) P. Carr, Edward G. Gibson, and William (Bill) R. Pogue, continued the programs scientific objectives of observing Earth resources, science & medical experiments, and solar astronomy.
