This sale is for two (2) vintage Disney Dollars. This set comes from a single-owner collection and is in spectacular condition. These bills were acquired directly at Disneyland during the currency's initial debut summer in 1987. Immediately upon acquisition, they were carefully tucked inside the accompanying Disneyland Today program guide, safely stored away, and never used or circulated. They have spent the last nearly four decades in clean, dark, smoke-free storage, preserving their paper crispness. This pair features the highly collectible initial first-print layout on the reverse side. The text block reads strictly as the "Official Currency of Disneyland," stating the bills can be used for purchases "at all Disneyland shops and restaurants." Shortly after this inaugural release, Walt Disney World in Florida also adopted the currency system (introducing Series D notes). As a result, Disney quickly updated the reverse verbiage on subsequent print runs to universally read both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. These particular notes are a true time capsule from those first few months before that multi-park standardization took place! Please expect wear from storage. Please offer accordingly.
