2 Manning-Bowman Light-Up ~ 1930's Pull Up Match Holders For Sale

1930’s Manning-Bowman Light-Ups.TwoManning Bowman Light-Up match holders featuring a shiny chrome Art Deco step pyramid shaped container with removable cardboard insert that holds matches. It is designed to ignite safety matches as they are pulled up from container. When the matches were all used, they sold a refill that replaced the old. It is marked on bottom; “MANNING-BOWMAN LIGHT-UP FOR DIAM. PULLQUICK MATCH” and with some patent information (patent was issued in December 1928). They measure 2-7/8'' high including matches, 2-13/16'' wide and 2'' deep. They are in good condition without any dents, but about 20% of the matches have been pulled on one and 55% on the other.It has not been tested to see if matches would still light. Onthe holder with less matches, there is a tiny piece of chrome loss of about 2x2millimeters on one side.The Chrome is shiny which is not reflected in photos.Hard to find collectables that would add to any collection.Questions are welcome and thanks for the interest!
