Pair of two related vintage real photo postcards showing the same unidentified man on the same porch with unusually large bread or baked goods.
One photograph shows the man wearing an apron and a soft cap or bonnet-like head covering beside a large basin or container. Two potted plants and two pumpkins are also visible. The companion photograph shows the man posed with several very large loaves or baked items, with the same two pumpkins nearby. An unidentified hand-operated mechanical device with a large cast-iron wheel is visible at right.
Both cards have AZO divided backs with the two-triangles-up/two-triangles-down stamp box associated with approximately 1918–1930.
One card is unused. The other is handwritten and addressed toTillie Heggem, Kelley, Iowa, c/o T. O. Heggem. The sender\'s signature appears to readClara Richardson. Period records document Heggem and Richardson families in the Kelley area. The identity of the photographed man, location where the photographs were taken, and exact circumstances shown have not been confirmed.
