This is a nicely preserved, 7.55\" long skull of an oreodont (Merycoidodon culbertsoni). It was collected from the White River Formation in Pennington County, South Dakota and would be approximately 30-35 million years old.
It is accompanied by an acrylic display stand to assist with presentation.
All of the teeth are natural with no repair or restoration. There is restoration of the left maxilla which is fairly extensive. The left side of the mandible has also undergone some restoration. The restoration on this specimen makes up approximately 20%.
