For sale, a wonderful antique European either France or Belgium made oil lamp.
The knob that lowers or raise the wick is marked \"M B Brevet\".
The oil lamp is a brass body with white ironstone neck oil lamp. The white ironstone neck does have a old crack and normal staining and crazing.
The lamp stands 8 inches tall, the bottom base is 4 1/4 inches in diameter.
It does not have wick inside.
I have never used it. Just displayed it on a mantel.
With that marking on the knob they were usually made in France or Belgium.
A wonderful early oil lamp to ad to your collection.
I have so many more bins full of items to still go through!!! firkins, more buckets, hooked rugs, tole trays, carved bread boards, wooden bowls etc........
