ANTIQUE JPL FRANCE LIMOGES PORTRAIT PRESENTATION PLATE SIGNED NAMES c1890S 8.5" For Sale

Offering up a beautiful piece of history. Antique JPL Limoges France portrait presentation plate from the1890s, measuring approximately 8 1/2 inches with Hand Painted Floral decorations and extensive gold detailing, A photographic portrait of an unidentified woman in the center of the plate that looks like the person in the photo has initialed and signed perhaps their initials with a statement, "MY FRIENDS ." Also, in a circular pattern are remarkably clear signatures of maybe the "friends". The plate is in impeccable condition and had been in a plate hanger looks like for a very lomg time. The metal from the plate hanger fell apart as I was removing it. The marks on the back of the plate are fired into the plate under the glaze.I have researched the markings and they are consistent with the production era for Limoges. The only hints I Have of the identification is the star or emblem around the ladies neck or on a ribbon.This may suggest a possible fraternal or order of he Eastern Star connection. Although, I have not been able to positively identify the woman, organization or the occasion for which the plate was made.
