Up for offer is a specimen of the very rare FRENCH meteorite, Apt! The Apt meteorite was WITNESSED to fall around 10:30am local time on 8 October, 1803 in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of southeastern France. This a genuine meteorite specimen consisting of a single small fragment weighing approx. 0.150 grams, and is housed in a 1" holder and will come with an ID card stating it is from my collection, that serves as my personal Certificate of Authenticity. The specimen will also come with the original ID cards from SV Meteorites & the Michael Cottingham Meteorite Collection- note that the ID cards state the specimen weight was 0.44 grams, the specimen for sale DOES NOT WEIGHT 0.44 grams, the specimen for sale is a piece from the original specimen weighing 0.150g. (The ruler and penny are for scale and NOT included in the sale).
