Burlington Northern (ex-CB&Q) E8 No. 9947 pulls a southbound Amtrak train into Portland Union Station in August 1971. In the background are the Fremont Bridge, then under construction, and the Centennial Mills complex. The photographer identified this as non-existent train No. 193; the consist and lighting make it likely that this is train No. 199, the Puget Sound.
