A charming Edwardian comic card playing on the word 'spooning' — a woman's face appears reflected in the bowl of an oversized old-fashioned spoon. Copyrighted 1907 by The Ullman Mfg. Co., New York and issued as American Post Card 'Photogravure' Series 134, Subject 24, this sepia photogravure was mailed from Lebanon, Pennsylvania in April 1909 with a 1¢ Franklin stamp. The sender's brief message — 'looks good to me, honest!' — perfectly echoes the card's playful punchline, making this a tight little piece of Edwardian humor with its original postal context intact.
