Fantastic early handmade snuff box from a soup bone. Wonderful nickel silver hinge on the lid, which retains its original cork. Lid, body and base are entirely bone. Large crack down the body, and two tight pin cracks near base.
Absolutely amazing example! Quite possibly sailor or prisoner made. 1850-1870s
