Antique Dana K. Alden cobalt blue barrel-form Christmas salt shaker with original patented agitator mechanism.
Top is marked “DANA K. ALDEN, BOSTON” and “PAT. DEC. 25 1877.”
- The agitator mechanism is in exceptionally nice condition for its age and remains complete.
- The cobalt blue glass is excellent, with strong color and no cracks or chips observed. Molded/rayed pattern on the underside of the base.
- Metal top retains its original aged surface/patina with expected minor age wear.
