Oval brass plaque measures approximately4\" long x 2.75\" wideand weighs approximately4 oz.
The reverse hastwo original threaded mounting posts, indicating the plaque was once attached to a larger presentation piece, award, trophy, case, or display. The original object it was mounted to is not known.
Wonderful untouched antique surface with age-darkened brass, scratches, wear, oxidation, and green verdigris/patina consistent with its age. We havenot polished or cleaned it, preserving the original surface.
A very unusual piece of19th-century Italian shooting, firearms, military, sporting, or Tiro a Segno memorabilia.
