Antique 1927 Louis Varonson (Ronson) Art Deco Elephant Incense Burner Complete For Sale

A rare museum-quality find for art deco and tobaccoriana collectors!! This is an authentic 1927 cast-metal elephant-themed incense censer created by the legendary Louis V. Aronson, founder of the Ronson Lighter Company. This piece features beautifully detailed elephant heads whose trunks form the handles, flanking an ornate central medallion. Unlike most surviving examples on the market, this piece comes 100% complete with its original vented lattice work lid featuring a small seated figure as the top finial. The inside rim is crisply stamped with the official maker’s mark L.V. Aronson Co. 1927 Artist manufacturer: Louis V. Aronson Ronson Art Metal Works Year: 1927 (stamped) Material: Heavy cast spelter metal Finish: Original multi-toned bronze and gold factory patina. Condition: Excellent Antique Condition. The exterior finish shows beautiful, honest age-appropriate wear. The original vented lid fits perfectly. The interior reservoirs shows authentic carbon/resin residue from historical use, which has been left completely unaltered to preserve the antique value. No structual cracks or repairs.
