Antique 1927 Taylor Stormoguide Large Art Deco Display Barometer 18” Rare
Rare large-scale Taylor Stormoguide weather forecasting barometer dating to the Art Deco era. Manufactured by Taylor Instrument Companies of Rochester, New York, this substantial display model features a circular weather-forecast dial mounted within a sweeping metal frame on a stepped wooden base.
The dial displays barometric readings and corresponding weather predictions, with separate sections for rising and falling pressure. Its unusually large 18-inch size gives it excellent presence as an antique scientific instrument, office display, or Art Deco decorative piece. The Stormoguide was promoted for domestic and amateur weather forecasting use.

The wooden case and stepped base have scratches, scuffs, worn finish, and other age wear. The dial face has spotting, fading, discoloration, and foxing. Back and underside show scratches and wear.
