Antique 1930s Japan Celluloid Girl Christmas Ornament 4.25” Hand Painted Rare For Sale

Antique Japanese celluloid hanging figure/ornament, likely dating to the 1930s–1940s. Features a charming child figure with a pointed molded hat, bright pink pleated skirt, hand-painted facial features and decorative details. The figure carries an accessory at the front and has a metallic-finish sash across the body that is embossed “JAPAN.” Original-style cord remains attached for hanging.

Measures approximately 4 1/4” tall.

This is a lightweight, hollow molded celluloid piece with visible seam construction typical of early Japanese celluloid figures. Antique condition with age-related wear, paint loss, and cracking/splitting around the hat/head area as shown. Please review photos closely for condition.
