Antique 2-1/2 gal. Badger Soda-Acid Fire Extinguisher Good Condition (Empty) For Sale

This is an antique 2½-gallon copper and brass soda-acid fire extinguisher made by the Badger Fire Extinguisher Co. of Somerville, Massachusetts. This particular model was most likely made between 1930 and 1940 when badger was producing these models in the Somerville manufacturing plant. These \"turn bottom up\" extinguishers mixed baking soda and sulfuric acid upon inversion to create pressure and spray water. Inscribed with instructions on a painted up brass plate stating \"To Play — Turn Bottom Up,\" which broke an internal acid vial to mix the chemicals. Obsolete and banned from active safety service due to the risk of tank explosion from rust/weakened metal; now popular as vintage industrial decor.
This particular one has been empty and free of any liquids or chemicals of any kind for quite some time. Would be great decor anywhere honestly, it just grabs your attention.
