Heavy, substantial cast-iron construction with raised BEER lettering and No. 8 size markings. BONA/BEER grinders are found in several numbered sizes and are associated with vintage German/European kitchenware.
This example retains its grinding mechanism, perforated grinder plate, crank with wooden handle, and adjustable table clamp. The clamp operates freely and the crank/grinding mechanism turns freely. It has not been restored and retains an attractive aged surface with scattered light oxidation and wear consistent with age and use.
A nice, uncommon old grinder for an antique kitchen collection, farmhouse display, restaurant or bar décor—or especially fun display piece for a brewer or beer collector.
