Beautiful antique/vintage ornate candlestick featuring a French Empire-style design with a tall fluted column, elaborate cast decoration, tripod base, and decorative paw feet.
The candlestick is constructed from multiple cast metal sections assembled over a central threaded metal rod. The primary decorative sections appear to be bronze/brass or a similar copper alloy, with a rich naturally aged brown patina and areas of green verdigris oxidation.
The design is characteristic of French Empire / Neoclassical Revival decorative forms. Country of origin and exact age are unknown, as no maker's marks have been identified.
