A tall French Art Nouveau glass piece with a continuous woodland scene. Dark trees and foliage stand against a softly shaded green and blue ground. The Daum Nancy signature with the Cross of Lorraine appears within the decoration. The glass likely dates to approximately 1900–1915.

The glass appears to have originally been a vase and later mounted as an electric lamp. The shaped metal cap and pierced base fit the glass closely, but their date and maker are unknown. The present socket, approximately 12-inch harp and finial are configured for a conventional shade. A shade in not included. We have no evidence that this piece originally had a matching Daum glass shade.

Condition detail: The dark glass foot has extensive old damage and repair around its junction with the body. Cracks extend across the flared foot. The cause and date of the damage are unknown. Detailed photographs document the repair.
