Up for sale/sale is a beautiful, authentic piece of American Art Pottery: an 8.5 inch plate from Dedham Pottery of Massachusetts. This piece features the highly blue and white hand-painted Azalea floral border paired with Dedham's heavy crackle glaze. The back features the early impressed crouching rabbit mark stamped directly into the clay body, dating this piece to the 1896-1928 production era. The plate is in very good condition but has a fairly large chip in the foot rim and an area of skipped blue glaze on the edge.
