Authentic Dietz Lantern Crate with Original Stenciling

This antique wooden shipping crate was made to carry Dietz No. 3 Pioneer Street Lamp lanterns from New York, and it still wears its bold black Dietz Lanterns oval on both long sides. Great as a rustic storage box, farmhouse or barn decor, display stand, or a centerpiece for a lantern collection.

• Nailed construction with vertical interior cleats and plank floor

Condition Notes
• Antique, used condition with genuine age wear. Please review all photos.
• Open top: no lid included.
• Wood shows cracks and splits along several planks, chipped and rough edges, scratches and scuffs.
• Dried mud-dauber wasp nests are stuck to the outside and inside of the crate; some may be removed before shipping but marks will remain.
• Stencils are faded and worn in places; the New York line on the end panel is partially lost.
• Stains, discoloration and water marks on the wood; remnants of old paper or label on one end.
• Several nails protrude from the top edges and should be handled with care. Bottom is stained and dirty.
• Structurally solid as pictured. Wood has not been cleaned or treated.
