Wonderful early beverage advertising crate with wood slat construction, cutout carrying handles, riveted metal edge reinforcement and original aged graphics.
Approximate measurements:

Similar Dossin’s beverage crates with this style of construction and “The Taste Tells” advertising have been documented from the 1930s. This example is marked Grand Rapids and has no date or additional manufacturer markings that I could locate.
The crate remains in as-found vintage condition and has NOT been refinished or restored. It shows substantial authentic age and use including scratches, staining, discoloration, faded graphics, wood splits/gaps, old paint marks, oxidation/rust on the metal reinforcement and damage/wear to some of the wood slats. Please review all photographs carefully for condition.
Great display piece for a collection of vintage soda advertising, Michigan memorabilia, general store advertising, rustic décor or antique beverage crates.
