Napoleon Bonaparte with Empress Joséphine de Beauharnais.

Plaque #2:
Napoleon Bonaparte with a young man identified as Napoleon II, Duke of Reichstadt (King of Rome), Napoleon\'s only legitimate son.

The identification of the younger figure as Napoleon II is based on comparison with documented historical portraits of the Duke of Reichstadt, particularly his distinctive youthful appearance, light/curly hair and white military uniform with gold decoration.

The two plaques make an especially interesting Napoleonic family-themed pair: Napoleon with Joséphine and Napoleon with his son.

The reverse of each plaque carries a circular Elite / Limoges / France mark incorporating \"DÉPOSÉ\" and the Elite emblem.

The exact manufacturer relationship represented by this particular Elite mark has not been definitively established, so this listing does not make an unsupported claim that Bawo & Dotter manufactured the porcelain body.

The pieces are being sold as Elite-marked Limoges porcelain.

The plaques appear to date to the early 20th century, with a working estimate of approximately 1915–1930. Exact production date has not been established.
