Up for sale is a wonderful, highly complete antique German "Magic Lantern" toy projector set made by the renowned maker Ernst Plank (marked EP), dating to the late 1890s or early 1900s. This set is in vintage, as-found antique condition with beautiful natural patina.The Lantern: The metal body shows minor wear and aged patina consistent with age. The front lens assembly is intact. The interior concave mirror is present.The Burner: The metal fuel tank is present, though the fragile, small glass tube chimney that originally sat on top of the burner wick neck is missing (very common for these sets).The Box: The original wooden box is structurally functional with the internal slide slots intact, though it shows heavy exterior wear, scuffing, and paper peeling from age.The Slides: 37 slides are fully intact with beautiful, bright, hand-colored imagery.
