this is a really great looking frame , late 19th century , I would call it tramp art, unusual construction , probably made in the us, has baby blue or robins egg blue painting on it , I believe it was made to look just it does , they probably brushed the paint on and wiped it off to give it this fantastic look, most likely this had a picture of a new born or something like that at one point, this like lots of tram art does not have an opening to insert glass or mirror , if you use either they usually glue them to the back , same with a photo, this is piece of art this can hang with nothing in it see other listings we are listing a first time offered group of wonderful tramp art frames from a private handle estate items please ask any questions before making an offer.
