Antique German Military Regimental Beer Stein Royal Bavarian 1 Field.Art.Rgt. Munich c.1894-1896
: Original regimental (Reservisten) stein c.1896. Belonged to Reservist Heinrich Holzner of 6.Battery of the 1st Bavarian Field Artillery Regiment stationed in Munich in 1894 - 1896.
Made of hard porcelain with lithophane in the bottom showing a Portrait of King Ludwig II of Bavaria. The front scene shows the regalia of the regiment with a crown and the Coat-of-Arms of Bavaria. The side pictures show scenes of everyday military life.
Magnificent figural lid with the Heraldic Lion representing the Kingdom of Bavaria for the thumblift. The stein is stamped with \"Brunner & Ploetz\" mark - this was a porcelain decoration shop known for many regimental and occupational stein work.
The body of the stein and the lid are in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. The decorations on the stein are somewhat faded.
It is 10\" tall, 0.5L capacity.
