Ornate antique gesso-over-wood frame with heavy gilt finish, scrolling acanthus and shell motifs, carved mask/face medallions at the corners, and an arched crest top. Bubble (convex) glass intact and unbroken. Overall size 20.5" x 13.25"; picture opening 9" x 15". Frame shows significant gesso loss and flaking at the crest, corners, and edges (visible bare wood in several spots) — this is a fragile antique frame with notable condition wear, not a "near mint" piece. Includes a vintage hand-tinted photographic portrait of a man and woman, circa 1940s style, matting/glass shows some age haze.
