Antique Harris Bros. & Co. pocket knife, marked on the tang:
HARRIS BROS. & CO.
CHICAGO ILL.
Based on the Chicago marking, this knife dates to approximately the 1915–1926 period, making it roughly 100 years old.
Features an especially attractive and unusual red/orange/yellow striped celluloid handle with metal bolsters. Single folding blade has substantial original age-related patina, scratches and discoloration but retains a good overall profile.
The celluloid scales remain remarkably attractive for their age and give this knife a great early-20th-century appearance.
Condition: Antique used condition with oxidation, patina, scratches and other age-related wear. It has intentionally not been polished or restored in order to preserve its original character. Please examine photographs closely for exact condition.
A great piece for collectors of antique American pocket knives, early cutlery, advertising/merchant knives or vintage celluloid-handled knives.
