Beautiful circa-1890 Hobbs, Brockunier & Co. kerosene stand lamp in the desirable Seaweed, also known as Coral Reef, pattern.
The hand-worked cranberry opalescent glass displays a striking mixture of rose pink, white, amber-brown and deep cranberry coloration. The lamp retains its coordinating crown-form globe, making it substantially more desirable than examples found with only the glass font.
The rounded font rests on clear applied glass feet and is fitted with a period Plume & Atwood P&A “Eagle” burner and decorative metal gallery. A clear glass chimney is also included.
The matching globe’s lower fitter rim is intact, with no observed chips or cracks. The glass components present beautifully, while the burner and gallery retain an appealing, age-appropriate patina.

Condition
Excellent antique glass condition. The cranberry opalescent font and matching globe have no observed chips or cracks, including around the globe’s lower fitter rim. The clear chimney appears intact. The metal burner and gallery have age-related tarnish, oxidation, discoloration and surface wear. Please review all photographs carefully. The lamp has not been tested with kerosene and is offered as an antique collectible.
