Beautiful antique Italian gold ormolu compact purse from the early 1900s, featuring elegant enamel detailing and intricate craftsmanship. A timeless collectible with classic European charm, perfect for display or addition to a vintage accessory collection. It is hallmarked "Made In Italy" on the interior gold mirror frame. It opens with a kiss clasp, and the hinges and closure are aligned and work well. Extremely rare! I could not find another one of these in the red color anywhere on the internet.The piece measures approximately 3 1/4 inches in length by 2 1/4 inches, not including the kiss clasp.Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. Both the gold plated interior and exterior show wear consistent with age. Slight gold tone loss on the kiss clasp. White age spots on interior.
