Unusual antique/vintage decorative portrait plaque featuring Jane Seymour, third wife of Henry VIII, after the well-known portrait by Hans Holbein the Younger.

What makes this piece especially interesting is the frame itself. It has a richly textured tooled/embossed leather-style surface with raised decorative motifs, dotted border detailing, and a dark bronze-brown finish over a rigid backing. It does not look like a standard modern picture frame.

The reverse retains an old printed identification label reading:

“Jane Seymour — Holbein”

There are also older handwritten annotations on the back, including a clearly visible date of “Nov. 19, 1930.” These markings suggest the piece was in circulation by at least the early 20th century, though the exact maker and production date are unknown.
