eautiful early 19th-century English porcelain tea and coffee trio, attributed to John Yates of Shelton, Staffordshire, in Pattern 1202, circa 1825–1830. The trio consists of a matching tea cup, coffee cup, and saucer, reflecting the Regency-period custom of using a single saucer with either cup. Each piece features rich cobalt/mazarine blue decoration with extensive hand gilding, including gilt floral and geometric motifs. The cups have shaped rims and elegant period handles, with particularly elaborate decoration to the interiors. The hand-painted “1202” pattern number appears in red on the underside, consistent with known John Yates porcelain of this period.Approximate dimensions:
