Up for sale is a beautiful, substantial piece of turn-of-the-century American pottery history: a large, heavy antique Knowles, Taylor & Knowles (KT&K Co.) presentation cider pitcher featuring a striking English Bulldog portrait. Produced in East Liverpool, Ohio, this piece dates back between 1890 and 1904 based on the official underglaze factory backstamp.
The pitcher is crafted from thick, durable semi-vitreous porcelain (commonly collected alongside antique white ironstone). It features a stunning hand-painted gradient transitioning from deep forest green at the top and base to a soft blush pink in the center, beautifully framing a highly detailed, expressive bulldog portrait.
The bottom is hand-numbered with the gold artist/pattern code 425.

This is a huge, heavy statement pitcher with solid semi porcelain/ironstone construction.
Excellent antique condition. There are no chips, cracks, or structural repairs.
Glaze: Features a beautiful, authentic all-over fine glaze crazing consistent with 120+ year old ironstone and porcelain.
Wear Note: There is visible aesthetic wear/gilt loss to the gold trim along the top rim and handle, as well as minor superficial paint flakes on the upper green rim (as shown in photos). The bulldog graphic itself remains incredibly vibrant, crisp, and clean.
