Excellent condition
This is an antique Victorian "Kendal" pattern lidded soup tureen manufactured by Keeling & Co. of Burslem, Staffordshire, England.
Maker & Mark DetailsThe underside mark features a distinctive kneeling potter insignia flanked by the registration date 1790. While 1790 denotes the original founding date of the Dale Hall pottery works, the specific "K & Co B Late Mayers" stamp indicates this item was produced between 1886 and 1936.
Given its styling and gold trim details, it most likely dates from around 1890 to 1910.
Design & ValueThe piece showcases a beautiful transfer-printed, flowing teal floral pattern set against a cream-colored earthenware body, accented with an ornate scalloped rim and gilded gold details.
