Antique Mid-19th Century Clear Glass Whale Oil / Burning Fluid Finger Lamp:
$149.99

Antique 1840s-1860s Glass Whale Oil Lamp Double Tube Burner Chained Snuffer.

The lamp features a heavy clear glass reservoir/font with applied glass finger handle and threaded metal collar. The removable burner assembly has two tapered wick tubes and retains both chained metal snuffer/extinguisher caps, an especially attractive period detail.

Double-tube burners of this type were used with whale oil and other early burning fluids before kerosene lamps became dominant.

Condition: Good antique condition overall. Glass shows normal age-related surface wear and manufacturing irregularities. Metal burner assembly has darkened patina, oxidation, and age wear. Both chained caps are present. No obvious major crack is visible in the photographs. Burner has not been tested with fuel. Please review all photographs carefully as they are part of the condition description.
