Four Victorian scenes that managed to stay together for well over a century.
Exceptional set of four genuine antique Mintons China Works transfer-printed ceramic tiles from Stoke-on-Trent, England, dating to the late Victorian period.
The reverse carries the molded factory wording MINTONS / CHINA WORKS / STOKE ON TRENT on the ribbed tile backs. These were originally made to be set into fireplaces, washstands and furniture.
Details: Set of four. Mintons China Works, Stoke-on-Trent, England. Late Victorian period. Approx. 6 inch square ceramic tiles. Individually framed. Genuine impressed/molded factory backs.
Condition: The ceramic faces and visible edges are in excellent antique condition from inspection, with no visible face cracks or major chips noted. The wood frames show scattered nicks, scuffs and finish wear consistent with age. Sold only as the complete set of four.
