Antique Phillips Bros. Champion Bottling Works embossed glass bottle from Baltimore, Maryland.
Beautiful early aqua/light green glass bottle with extensive embossed lettering and its wire bail closure with white ceramic/porcelain stopper. The stopper is marked “Made in Germany.”
Embossing includes:

* CHAMPION BOTTLING WORKS
* BALTIMORE, MD.
* CONTENTS 1 PINT 8 FLUID OZ.
* REGISTERED
Additional markings include a number “2” along the outer edge of the base and a faint bottom marking that appears to read “20 N” or similar.
Bottle measures approximately 10 inches tall.
Nice display piece for a Baltimore or Maryland collection, antique soda and bottling collection, advertising collection, or early bottle collection.
CONDITION:
Antique used condition with considerable surface scratching, scuffing, haze/residue and other wear from age and use. Glass also displays manufacturing irregularities characteristic of early bottles. Wire closure shows age and oxidation. Ceramic/porcelain stopper remains present.
No obvious chips or cracks were observed during inspection, but please examine all photographs closely for exact condition. Bottle has not been aggressively cleaned or polished.
