Up for sale is a beautiful antique German ceramic lidded beer stein, manufactured by the renowned Simon Peter Gerz (S.P. Gerz) factory in the Westerwald region of Germany.

• Model Number: 267 (Incised on the bottom base).
• Title: \"Der Urlauber\" (The Tourist/Vacationer).
• Design Elements: Features highly detailed relief-molded figures of tavern goers (one holding a mug, one playing an accordion) set against a rich cobalt blue and cream glaze background.
• Inscription: Features the traditional German proverb text along the base: \"besser als viel Geld u.Gut: (\"better than much money and property\").
• Lid: Original ornate hinged pewter lid with detailed thumb-life lever.
