Beautiful vintage Schwarzenhammer Germany porcelain companion portrait plates, offered together as a coordinated pair.
Each plate features a different romantic female portrait surrounded by ornate gold decoration. One has a rich emerald green border, while the other has a deep burgundy/maroon border. Both share the same scalloped square form, elaborate gilt garland design, white inner field and gold-trimmed edges, making them especially striking when displayed together.
The backs are marked Schwarzenhammer Germany with the maker’s crest. Based on the backstamp, these date to the mid-20th century, approximately 1950s–1960s.
Each plate measures approximately 7.5” x 7.5”.
These appear to be companion pieces from the same series or production line, with coordinated decoration and contrasting colorways.
Vintage/pre-owned condition with possible light age-related wear to the gilt and surface consistent with display and storage. Please review all photos closely for condition and details.
