This is an antique espresso cup (demitasse) and saucer set, crafted from Limoges porcelain by Tressemanes & Vogt (T&V) specifically for sale at the prestigious New York department store Ovington Bros. Co.The pieces feature an elegant, faceted shape and are decorated with a vibrant blue border, finely detailed pink flowers set against a black background, and lavish gilding along the rims and on the cup\'s handle. They were manufactured in France between 1880 and 1920. After 1920, the store\'s name was shortened to \"Ovington\'s\" (meaning items marked \"Ovington Brothers\" date to the pre-1920 period).Dimensions: cup height — 2 1/4 inches, diameter — 3 1/8 inches; saucer diameter — 4 3/4 inches.The saucer bears the green marks \"T&V Limoges France\" (1892–1907)and \"Ovington Bros. Co New York\" (pre-1920,the marking is partially worn and is best viewed under direct light).
