This is a historical document — a vintage tram pass from the First Latvian Republic, pre-war Latvia, valid for 1932–1933 during the presidency of Ulmanis. It was issued by the Riga City Railway Administration and features a photograph of a young man who studied at the First Riga Gymnasium; this pass allowed him to travel by tram.
The document is beautifully made on old cardstock with period security features, including an embossed, double-sided stamped seal, reflecting the technology of that time. The card also displays the old coat of arms of Latvia and Riga.
This is a Riga tram line pass — a fascinating piece for collectors and for historical research.
The condition of this rare, antique document is very good. Naturally, it shows some signs of age, but all inscriptions are clearly visible, including the embossed seal and even the handwritten details. It is well-preserved enough for thorough historical research.
