Antique Victorian bronze figural urn, passed down through the family for generations.
Made around 1890, when pieces like this sat on parlor mantels as showpieces. One side shows a child peeking over a balcony. Beside her is a hare in high relief. The handles are cast as cherubs. The stem is twisted. The square base has a Greek key border.
A small tabletop piece with a lot of detail for its size.
Measures 8.5" tall by 6" wide.
The rim is cracked and a section is missing. Finish wear and age to the surface, as expected on a piece this old. No maker mark found.
