Unusual and beautifully detailed antique/vintage metal relief depicting an artist painting outdoors beneath a large umbrella or parasol.The central figure appears seated at an easel with his painting equipment, while the surrounding relief depicts a rustic outdoor setting with trees, buildings and additional objects associated with the artist’s surroundings. The scene has an almost storybook/genre-art quality.The plaque features substantial dimensional relief and an ornate integrated frame with decorative projecting corners and loops.
