This rare piece of German art pottery is a finely detailed "Chalet" or Black Forest-style house inkwell. Produced for the 1912 Verbandstag (Association Day) in Zell am Harmersbach, it features the vibrant, high-relief "Majolica" glaze for which the region is world-renowned.Condition Report

• Overall:Solid antique condition. No structural cracks or significant restorations.
• Noted Chips:Small repaired chip near the pole (internal to the lid), a minor chip on the bottom reverse corner, and one small ding on the front right corner.
• Surface:Traditional hand-painted polychrome finish remains vibrant. Traces of historical ink residue are present in the well, adding to its authentic character.
• Base Note:Includes original "earthquake wax" on the bottom (added by a previous owner to prevent tipping), which can be gently removed if desired.
