Very attractive early Campbell\'s wooden shipping crate featuring the classic Campbell\'s script logo and bold PORK AND BEANS / BEANS lettering.
The crate is marked JOSEPH CAMPBELL COMPANY, CAMDEN, N.J., U.S.A. and has dovetail-style corner construction. The Joseph Campbell Company name was used from 1905–1922, making this an excellent candidate for an early 20th-century crate.
The original red, gold and black graphics remain visible on multiple sides. It has wonderful natural age and patina, with considerable fading, scratches, edge wear, wood separation and other signs of use consistent with an old working shipping crate. Please study all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the description.
A great piece for a Campbell\'s collector, advertising collector, primitive décor, country store display, kitchen décor or Americana collection.
